Marcus Hodge
Marcus Hodge graduated in Law with First Class Honours from Murdoch University in 2000, prior to which he obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (Architecture) at Curtin University.
Marcus was a practicing architect prior to commencing his legal practice with Mallesons Stephen Jaques and later with Blake Dawson, both large national law firms. Marcus then took on a senior in-house advisory role with the Australian Stock Exchange, which led to other senior in-house roles with a focus on Corporate Advisory and Governance, Business Structures, Resources and Mining including Oil & Gas, Banking and Finance, Property, Estate Planning and Commercial Transactions generally.
In addition to Legal Counsel roles, Marcus has held Commercial Management, Legal Management and Business Management roles with Top 200 ASX listed companies.
Prior to joining the Haynes Robinson team, Marcus was Senior Corporate Counsel to Chevron Texaco on the Gorgon Gas Barrow Island project, working with the joint venture, government, contractors, manufacturers, communities and other stake holders, both within Western Australia and internationally.
Marcus’ professional focus is to provide business-oriented, practical and clear advice, taking a hands-on approach to the law and to the management of relationships to achieve commercial outcomes.
Originally from Perth, Marcus has settled in Albany with his wife and two sons, enjoying working their small holding in Kalgan. He also enjoys boating, music, keeping fit and competing in motorsport events when he gets the chance.
